Bandit Fort [40×40]

**Perched atop twin hills that rise like sentinels above the dense forest, a rugged wooden fort fiercely defended by a gang of Bandits looms. The Fort is a haphazard but imposing structure, built from rough-hewn logs and scavenged planks, its walls uneven but sturdy. A creaky wooden bridge connects the two hills, spanning the deep ravine between them, its planks worn and weathered by years of use. Its occupants, hardened and vigilant, go about their business, secure in their lofty stronghold.**

Our new map, the Bandit Fort, coming in at 40×40, depicts the scene of an imposing hideout deep in the forest. A suitable home for any villainous gang of thugs to hide out and plan their attacks from. For users of our tokens, this should be a perfect use of our Bandit Adversaries!

We’ve included a number of tiles to add some dynamism to the encounter. The creaky bridge that spans the two hills can be broken in multiple ways; extra cover elements can be added to knocking over the watchtower’s ladders to leave some unlucky soul stuck up there. In addition to that, we’ve included a variant of the map without the structure, so you can build your own twist on the scene with all our assets.

For our Foundry VTT module, along with our usual interactive tiles and scene ambience, this will be our first map on the new foundry version and making use of those new features. Foreground tiles have been set up to play nicely with the new functionality so you can fully explore under the tree canopy or hideout in the tents, and we’ve added scene regions to effect token elevation so tokens can appear appropriately over and under those elements where necessary.

Unfortunately, that means we have to drop support for earlier versions of Foundry. So this map will be V12 ONLY. On the plus side, we’ve added these new features to our whole back catalog, so we hope it’s worth moving over to the latest version. We’ll post a changelog of some of the things we’ve done in a separate post on Patreon and Discord, so keep your eyes peeled and feel free to reach out with any questions.
