I used Photoshop to make dungeons in the past, I’m not the most well-versed with the tool so it ended up taking me weeks to finish a simple map. With DD and FA now my maps finish in less than an hour, I was able to whip one out mid-session for a random encounter. Absolutely amazing, hard to go back to in-person games now.

As the name would suggest, it’s for a software called “Dungeondraft”. File format is “.dungeondraft_pack” which the software can read as is. You don’t open these files.

While very happy with the user interface and ease of use of DungeonDraft (DD) (especially as stability improved throughout 2020), the art style was not exactly to my tasts. If DD art could be defined as ‘comic’ style, I wanted something more defined, closer to the official D&D artwork (eg Mike Shelley) and high-res. Being a tightwad I sampled these assets for a couple of months before subscribing, but I’m really glad I did as it’s been more than I could hope for. These packs are a simple download into the DD asset directory and DD just loads them up. There’s been frequent new additions and I highly recommend subscribing to the Patreon.
